Frequently Asked Questions.
What are safety tags used for in the workplace?
Safety tags communicate the status of equipment, areas, and substances to workers on site. They alert people to dangers such as equipment under repair, toxic substances, or areas requiring authorisation before entry. Australian workplace health and safety legislation requires employers to clearly identify hazards, and safety tags are a practical, low cost way to meet that obligation across a wide range of industries.
Can I customise safety tags with our company logo & specific messaging?
Yes. Custom safety tags can be produced with your company logo, contact details, specific hazard messaging, and site relevant information. This is particularly useful for businesses with unique equipment types, specific isolation procedures, or branding requirements across a large workforce. Custom tags follow the same material and construction standards as the standard range. Contact the AAA Print Group team with your requirements and they can advise on layout, quantities, and turnaround.
Do your safety tags come strung or unstrung & can I choose?
Both options are available. Tags can be supplied strung with a standard tie or unstrung if you prefer to attach them using your own cable ties, wire, or fixings. You can select your preference when requesting a quote. Where tags are supplied strung, the stringing is carried out by hand by Intelife, a community organisation that provides meaningful employment for people living with disabilities. It is a partnership we are proud of, and one that ensures every strung tag leaves with care and attention.
Are your safety tags compliant with Australian workplace safety standards?
Yes. AAA Print Group safety tags are designed to support compliance with Australian WHS regulations and relevant industry standards. When used as part of a documented safety management system, they can also contribute to meeting ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Tags such as isolation and Do Not Operate tags are particularly relevant to lockout and tagout procedures, which are a requirement under WHS legislation for the control of hazardous energy. If you are unsure which tag type meets your specific regulatory obligations, your WHS officer or safety consultant can advise on the appropriate specification.
